SESSION 1: Success, Failures and Fines for California’s Indoor Heat Regulation
Instructor: Alex Miller, Safety Services Director, Leavitt Insurance Group
Safety managers, HR professionals, supervisors, and anyone responsible for workplace safety at a metal finishing facility should understand indoor heat risks. In 2024, Cal-OSHA added enforceable regulations for indoor heat. Indoor temperatures above 82°F include specific requirements and training. Indoor temperatures above 87°F trigger even stricter requirements. Learn about the indoor heat standards familiar to California businesses, and what companies often miss that lead to expensive fines. This seminar will be held in English.

SESSION 2: Elevated Corrosion Resistance in MPEN and HPEN Processes
Instructors: Joe Zabielski & Jim Wetherald of Ronatec / MetalX USA
This year’s technical session will be led by Joe Zabielski and Jim Wetherald of Ronatec. Their presentation will focus on elevated corrosion resistance in MPEN and HPEN processes. Learn about physical properties, and performance advantages of this metal plating process. Information will also be shared about third party materials science lab analysis, from a lab that is NADCAP Accredited and approved by all major aerospace
primes. Applicability, advantages, and disadvantages within this field will also be analyzed.
